I’m setting up a scripted setup for a new computer and it’s be nice if there were static link to the “latest” version of Local so it could be installed via scripting.
curl -L http://local-by-flywheel-flywheel.netdna-ssl.com/releases/2-2-3/local-by-flywheel-2-2-3-mac.zip | bsdtar -xvf - -C /Applications
Works, just would be extra cool to never have to update it…
Bonus points, create a public brew cask… although looks like someone already crated one for you, it’s just out of date:
cask 'local-by-flywheel' do
version '2.1.2'
sha256 '81b9251b600ff87edc5243ca63793ac0d424d001b53c78fed80cd836dd386842'
# local-by-flywheel-flywheel.netdna-ssl.com/releases was verified as official when first introduced to the cask
url "https://local-by-flywheel-flywheel.netdna-ssl.com/releases/#{version.dots_to_hyphens}/local-by-flywheel-#{version.dots_to_hyphens}-mac.zip"
name 'Local by Flywheel'
homepage 'https://local.getflywheel.com/'
depends_on cask: 'virtualbox'
app 'Local by Flywheel.app'
