Syncing via "Sync Multi-site Domains to Hosts File" on MacOS Does Not Work

Issue Summary

When I hit the button on a site that is a sub-domain WP install, it does not sync up /etc/hosts with all the sub-domains. I reported this issue 4 years ago and it appears I still have the same issue.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    Two different sites which are both sub-domain sites on NGINX

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    Yes.

Replication

  • This is a subdomain site we imported from a production site
  • The prefix is different, not wp_

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    5.9.3+5100

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • MacOS Big Sur
