Two macs, one developper, two synchronised LOCAL

i am retired 77, old developper ! and developing (free of charge PHP, Javascript AJAX on wordpress site) in two different town, i would be delighted as all my files can be in the cloud, to be able to close LOCAL on one site and open LOCAL on the second Mac using the same files in Apple cloud; will it work ?
Also i did not find any information about how to save ALL my files on a external disc and restore it in case of crash, is there one.
There is no bad age to get fun with developing !!! Have fun…
Best regards

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hey @domi666888!

Never too late to stop learning something new!

Currently our app has some limitations that wouldn’t allow for the workflow you’re describing. What you would need to do is backup your site in Cloud or external storage, and then when you move to the new computer, reimport it into that app.

We have a native export feature that makes it simple and easy to take a backup zip of your site that you can put on an external storage device or move into Cloud.

We also have a Cloud Backups feature built in you could use as well for backing up, storing and then restoring on a different machine:

In summation, your steps would look like this:
