Can someone tell me how to fix this error in Local??? Windows 10 or 11, I don’t remember.
Hi @tsul24
To fix this you should be able to go into your Task Manager and find MySQL and then select End Task. After that you can start fresh. It’s likely some processes are getting hung up there.
What happens when you change your Router Mode back to Site Domains? Preferences>Advanced>Router Mode
It’s my task manager (refresh is two mysql every time) and and all in Local WP program. Further attachments in separate emails.
So are you able to kill the MySQL processes or are you saying they keep “refreshing”?
Do you have any other antivirus or security applications running? Something could be killing those MySQL processes if they are only popping up for a moment and then disappearing if it thinks they are malicious.
Kill MySQL proccess, click “Open site” in Local and they show every time when I open the site from Local.
No, I don’t have any antivirus probably.
If you’re on Windows you might have something like Defender or Kapersky if you want to search.
This might help as well: Help! I'm running into an EPERM error with the hosts file on Windows
I’m encountering this same issue and have tried all of the recommendations in this thread, including disabling Windows Defender real-time protection on Windows 10
Have you done a full reboot after making those changes? That would be the next thing to try.
Then if you’re still having trouble I’d try a full refresh with these steps:
-
Export any sites that you have on Local and save them to a folder somewhere on your computer: Backup a Local Site - Local
-
Fully uninstall Local from your computer: Uninstall Local - Local
-
Install the latest version of Local on this link: Releases - Local
-
Once installed, please restart the computer.
-
When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background (AntiVirus, Firewall, and other Developer applications included).
-
Check and see if the issue still persists. If so, please provide us with an updated log: Retrieve Local’s Log File - Local
Attached is the verbose log. Issue still occurs after steps above.
local-lightning-verbose.log (876.3 KB)
You’re sure you don’t have any other antivirus or security systems in place?
Are you running other developer applications simultaneously? That could also cause similar issues. Apps like MAMP, XAMPP, or Docker for example.
maybe just restart your computer
