Hi @shrek
So when you create a new, blank site that works okay but then the next time you restart this error pops up again?
Could you provide some more details to help us take a further look?
What is your OS?
What version of Local are you on?
Please attach a copy of your Local Logs
Keep us posted and we’d be happy to help further!
I already got it working. For some reason whenever I use mysql 8, it wants me to reinstall it but whenever I try to start site, it doesn’t do anything. I now use mariaDB and everything seems fine. Thank you
Okay glad to hear it @shrek thank you for updating us

Do you have any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking Local? It looks like from the log it might be having trouble connecting.
Are you running other developer applications simultaneously? That could also cause similar issues. Apps like MAMP, XAMPP, or Docker for example.
If you change your Router Mode to Localhost are you able to proceed?
Preferences>Advanced>Router Mode>Localhost
No I’m not running any other developer applications.
I can access my websites, the issue is every time I exit one of them and get back to start it again later it shows me the missing MySQL error, and It has to be installed every time I restart any of them, that’s about 250mb for like 4 or 5 sites a day each. so I was looking for a solution since my internet isn’t unlimited
Can you try creating a new, blank site and see what happens? Does it give you the same thing or is it only on sites you’ve previously worked on?
Did you try changing your Router Mode?
Well I made a blank site and yeah it still has the same issue.
And when I changed the Router Mode to Localhost this showed up at all the sites
I guess I should try changing the DB like first dude did
You could try using MariaDB to see if that works.
For these sites are they configured using the Preferred settings or do they have any other special Custom configuration in their WP/PHP/Server type?
Yeah I used the preferred settings for them all. I’ll check the other versions of MySQL also to see if they all have the same issue.
Thx for your time tho.
Okay sounds good @zod if you find a solution or have other questions keep us posted!
