Unable to find Custom Environment option while starting a new local website

Hi,

I’m running Local (5.0.7) on Mac Os Catalina (10.15.1)

I already used Local and remember it was possible to choose a custom environment with options to load a certain version of PHP and mySQL to develop an app that wasn’t Wordpress.

When I load Local and try to add a new local website the only option I get is to start configuring a new Wordpress app.
I’m a bit confused.

Is the option of a custom environment still available?
What I am doing wrong?
Should I activate any option or add-on?

Thanks in advance
Carlo

hi
i have the same issue

Hey @carletto0282 and @xuorel54, thanks for reaching out about custom environments in Local 5.x.

Right now, the beta of Local (which is our primary option right now due to Mac OS changes and focussing our development on removing some of the confines of version 3.x) does not support custom environments. They will be coming back in future versions of Local and you can still operate version 3.x of Local which still supports it, side by side with Local 5.x. Bear in mind that these are completely different environments and do not share sites files.

Hi
Do toi know when custom environment Will je available ?
