Unable to import my site - "Imported site is broken..."

What issue or error are you experiencing? Only getting “Imported site is a broken import. Attempting to repair WordPress installation.” Then “couldn’t install Site.”

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc. Tried several times. Made a new download file.

  • Local Version: Version 9.2.9+6887

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: Windows 10

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Maybe you can try doing a manual import instead. The steps are outlined here:

Manually Import a Local Site

I would also ensure your site doesn’t have any additional backup files or DB backups within that could confuse the import.
