What issue or error are you experiencing?

When creating a new site I get “Error installing WordPress”

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

This is the first site I’ve tried to create in local. The site I’m trying to create is Multisite. I tried the default version of php and php 8.0.30. There is also a site called “WP local fw”, seems to be a default. This site seems to be fine on the server side but throws a “502 Bad Gateway” error when I try to open it.

    Version 8.1.0+6514
  • Operating System (OS) and OS version:
    macOS Mojave - 10.4.6

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @jtonge

It looks like your macOS 10.14 doesn’t meet our minimum requirements (At least 10.15) for the latest Local and PHP releases. You can try using a PHP version like 7.3 or installing an older Local release for better compatibility.
