Unable to start site: MySQL connection failed on ::1 (Error 10061)

Description:
I’ve been trying to start my site for 2 days but I keep getting the “Unable to start site” error. I already tried reinstalling Local WP, changing Router Mode, and checking for port conflicts, but nothing works.
The specific error is:
mysqladmin: connect to server at ‘::1’ failed
error: ‘Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘::1:10024’ (10061)’
It seems Local is trying to use IPv6 (::1) instead of localhost (127.0.0.1).
System Info:
PHP version: 8.2.27
Windows 10 PRO 64BITS
Local WP Version: 6.9.4
MySQL Version: 8.0.35
I have attached a screenshot of the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Propuntove!

If you create a new, blank site in Local can you access that okay? If you can, then you may want to try reimporting the site getting the errors. The steps would look like this:

  • Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
  • Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
  • Restart Local/your machine
  • Reimport the site back into Local. You can refer here on how to Restore from only Local site files
