I have tried twice to export websites from Local and each time I have had issues.
The support team from my hosting service told me that there were too many files in the .zip, and most should be directly in the “public_hmtl” file, and because of this, the paths get broken ? (Wordpress isn’t recognized basically).
Are there other steps to take to make sure only the essential files are exported ?!
Once my website is live, I still have troubles with the url and paths.
To replace the URL I have :
used “better search and replace”
used the command lines directly in wp-config
However i still have this error message, even if i have deleted and installed the plugin again.
Is your hosting service migrating the site for you with the zip file? Or how are you uploading the site to their server?
Some of your plugins and themes might be holding on to cache or old URLs. I’d check if any of these items have a flush cache or Regenerate CSS option. If a specific premium plugin like Jetpack or something is having an issue it might be because it’s installed in two places if you have one license. You might reach out to them and see what they recommend if the plugin needs to be disabled in Local when you take it live.
I’m using the Hostinger interface to migrate the website.
The jetpack plugin is not a premium one, so I have tried to uninstall it and install it again to no avail - I have reached out to their support team but so far no solution.
