URLs not updated when updates are pushed

What issue or error are you experiencing?

We keep running into this problem. Developer using Local pushes an update to WPE or Flywheel not all the URLs are updated – some keep the sitename.local/ URL. It’s really frustrating us because it makes our process seem unreliable because we fix one issue and then discover all the images in the blog are not displaying.

We noted that seems to always happen if the site in question uses Elementor, which isn’t something we use – some Clients come to us with it. Our sites are limited to ACF Pro, WordPress, Yoast, and Gravity Forms.

Wondering if anyone has found a solution other than doing SQL search and replace after each update?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @edgimo

Does refreshing Elementor with the Regenerate CSS option resolve the issue or do you have to manually run S/R jobs to clean things up?

We have not tried that approach – we usually just do a manual S/R. We don’t always have an issue – but pretty much need to manually check each time.

I would try using that setting in Elementor to see if it clears things up. Other plugins might also be doing the same like Divi, Astra or Beaver Builder if any of those are in use. You could also try flushing the server cache. Sometimes this can be a necessary step but would still save a bit of time over doing manual S/Rs.
