Using iTerm for Shell access - Ventura

Issue Summary

New install of Local on Macbook Pro Ventura, clicking Open Shell site doesn’t open in iTerm but yes in Terminal.app

Troubleshooting Questions

Brand new install of Local, brand new website in Local, can’t open Site Shell in iTerm (also new install). It did open successfully in Terminal. I’d much prefer using iTerm for shell access. What else can I do to make it work?

• iTerm set in Local preferences.

• When I select the ssh file in Application Support > Local and try to open the file by selecting iTerm I see an error message:

A session ended very soon after starting. Check that the command in profile “Default” is correct.

I can use iTerm with Visual Studio Code and Git without problems.

System Details

Local 6.7.1+6369

MacOS Ventura 13.0.1 (22A400) - Macbook Pro (Intel)

This appears to be a known issue.

New version of Local (6.7.1+6369) breaks terminal

Issue Summary I was a user affected by the issue with Terminal not working in previous versions; I installed iTerm as a workaround. With the new version, clicking “open site shell” now doesn’t do anything (I tried uninstalling iTerm and reinstalling it, and can’t seem to get the button to work now regardless).
