What information do I need to securely whitelist my local site from an external API

Issue Summary

I am trying to connect to an external API and it requires that the domain and/or the IP address be whitelisted before it becomes available to my Local site. I am not sure what information to send the IT admin in order to make this happen. I am currently using the local domain thenestgrocery.local and I believe it is running on port 80. This is not mandatory on my end. I just want to find the best/easiest way to make it so the site can access their API.
