When I migrated from Imac Intel to Macbook Air M2, the Local app says unable to start

Unable to start site!

Hello guys, my Local app crashed when I used the Apple migration app. I migrated my Intel Imac 2019 to my Macbook Air M2 so I think some files get lost. After that the Local app appears to send the message: Unable to start site.

Help me guys!

Hi @eutomodisc

Do you still have your site files? If you have your site files saved/backed up you could start with a big refresh.

  • Fully uninstall Local from your computer.

  • Install the latest version of Local on this link.

  • Please note that currently Rosetta 2 is also required for Apple Silicon builds (Install Local - Local)

  • Once installed, please restart the computer.

  • When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background (AntiVirus, Firewall, and other Developer applications included)

  • Check and see if the issue still persists. If so, please provide us with an updated log. Retrieving Local’s Log File

Keep us posted and we’d be happy to help further!

I dont have my site files, there’s a way to check out these files?

Do you still have sites on your original machine? If so you could export those into zips or use our Cloud Backups feature to get them backed up. Then once you get Local running on the new machine you can re-import them or pull them back down.

Sorry Nick, I don’t have any backup in the Imac, I sold them.

So I have just the Macbook with the migration by Imac

Okay then if you don’t have any sites or backups to worry about you can use my steps from up above to try a full uninstall/reinstall
