Windows 7: 15 seconds to load admin pages, 30+ seconds to load public pages

Installed 2.2.4

Installed VM 5.2.16

Enabled fast docker volumes

Is there still a permissions issue with this current version? I saw posts from months ago and assumed the issue must be resolved, but maybe not?

@w411,

Please see Slow on Windows 10

Thanks for that link.

system is i7 3.4 GHz, 16 GB, Crucial SSD

enabled IP6 loopback

installed query monitor: https://www.screencast.com/t/5pTEJCyNRz

Thanks!

Can you please try the following?

  1. Right-click on a site that’s running slow in Local’s sidebar
  2. Go to “Open Site SSH”
  3. Once you see root@_______:/#, enter df -T
  4. Copy and paste the output of df -T here
  • disabled AdRotate Pro (took care of the slow queries)
  • disabled WP FileManager (took care of the php errors)
  • disabled UABB (took care of duplicate queries)

df -T output:

Perfect, thanks!

FDV is definitely enabled and working based off of what you just sent.

One additional thing you can try right now is going to the menu in the top-left and then clicking “Restart Local’s Machine.” Doing so will restart both the virtual machine and FDV server. This can help with slow site performance in some cases.

Still at almost 4 seconds for dashboard load:

This this the dashboard load from the remote site that was cloned using WP AIO:

Also, rookie question I’m sure, what is FDV?

So am I to assume Local just is not a viable tool for Windows 7 at this point?

@w411,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you!

Faster Docker Volumes (AKA FDV) uses NFS to share the files to the virtual machine instead of the much slower VirtualBox shared folders (vboxsf) protocol.

What environment is the site running? Custom or Preferred?

Custom, was trying to match the production environment:
