Wordpress fails to start stating libnettle (I have libnettle 7 and 8 installed)

Issue Summary

When I install libnurces5 and switch to “localhost” routing things are better on openSUSE Tumbleweed however, it complains that libnettle.so.6 not being found and I don’t want to symbolic link random things on this OS

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

  1. install openSUSE Tumbleweed
  2. install libncurses5
  3. install “local” ignoring dependencies (it can’t use/figure libcap of openSUSE TW)

    6.4.1+5978

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through.
