502 Request Error & being forced to create a new WP site

Issue Summary

I tried to access a site but it directed me to create a new WordPress site by choosing a language. When tried to view a different page, The “502 Request Error” message showed. I restarted Local and waited for some time before starting the site. None worked out. This issue happens only on this one site. Making a new plain WordPress site and viewing it on a browser is possible.
One or two sentence summary of the issue.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    Just this one.
  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    Yes.

Replication

Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!

  1. This site is an import site of an existing site. I made an empty site on Local and used a plugin to import files.
  2. Before this issue happened I didn’t do anything out of ordinary. Just worked on it and stopped the site before going on vacation.
  3. When started the site again, an update was prompted. So I did update the software. When viewed the site, it directed me to make a new site - starting from choosing a language. Which, I didn’t do.
  4. When tried to view a different page, it gave me the 502 request error.
  5. When viewed it more times, the error went away for some reason. It now only wanted me to make a new WordPress site.
  6. I closed Local and restarted. The same issue persisted.
  7. The issue occurred only on this site.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    6.4.2+6012
  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional
      MacOS Big Sur
  • Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so:

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

UPDATE:

Solved! I found out that my wp-config file vanished for some reason. When added back in, the site is now back and healthy.
