Hello,
I have the same problem but when I click Trust, it does not work.
I also tried to change the .dev to .local and got another error message / on behalf of the site.
What is the correct solution please?
Make sure your time and date are sync
Sending resync command to local computer
Command : w32tm /resync
if it is sync and still getting error
i do recommend clear some cache on your browser and update it. sometimes this issue will it it if not i found another solution and it works as well following solution No.2 from this website https://www.errorsolutions.tech/error/your-connection-is-not-private-chrome-error/ to sort this issue out.
For me the solution was to locate the certificate which was already trusted and keep it elsewhere then delete it from that folder.
I located mine at .config/Local/run/router/nginx/certs/ for Ubuntu.
You will most likely run into this error when working on anything financial or require SSL like payment processors, Woo-commerce, etc.
One thing to note is that whenever you restart Local and spin up that site, you will get a Heads Up! Local Router is Having Trouble Starting error.
the logs will reveal that
{"thread":"main","class":"Process","process":"nginx","level":"warn","message":"nginx: [emerg] cannot load certificate \"%%router.runPath%%/nginx/conf/../certs/site.local.crt\": BIO_new_file() failed (SSL: error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory:fopen('%%router.runPath%%/nginx/conf/../certs/site.local.crt','r') error:2006D080:BIO routines:BIO_new_file:no such file)","timestamp"...
I simply copy that certificate and paste it back where I deleted it from, obviously its not an elegant solution but if you’re delivering a site and these SSL errors are frustrating you, try this out. Hopefully a fix comes soon.
For me its much easier to tell the browser to proceed to the unsafe site than to deal with privacy error for a locally hosted file.
