But I’ve tried the suggested fix with no success. I’ve removed Local and tried to reinstall after rebooting. Double-checked the BIOS setting has been remembered (which it had) but I still get the error on install. I’ve tried it with the second Virtualisation option enabled and disabled:
If I look at C:\Users\Chris.VirtualBox\VBoxSVC.log I see this:

What bit of software does “This computer doesn’t have VT-X/AMD-v enabled. Enabling it in the BIOS is mandatory” come from? Is it Virtual Box that throws that error, or Local?
Have you been into your BIOS and enabled Virtualisation? That is what the error is saying.
What happened to me is that I received the error massage, fixed my BIOS setting, after a bit of panicking,
Restarted installation again, then got the same error message. After a few tries, I came across the log, which hinted at a usb error. I removed wireless mouse usb and everything worked ok.
Having just looked at a log from last night, can see a similar error but there isn’t one attached. lol.
Unfortunately I still have the problem.
I’ve set up successfully on the BIOS, But still the same error message! “This computer doesn’t have VT-X/AMD-vn enable…”
