Cannot create an admin account that I can log into on new site

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Whenever I make a site, Local walks me through the steps. I get to the point where you enter username, password, and wordpress email (I don’t know what the wordpress email is, I just put my personal one which is a gmail). When I try to access the WP admin dashboard, and I go to log in, it tells me my credentials are incorrect, but the ones I enter when I try to log in match the ones I entered when setting up. I tried to reset it in the shell, but it says the account doesn’t exist. I have no clue how to fix this because I don’t even know if it’s creating my login info, and how to go about finding that so I can just log in. When I go to database, it says that my username is “root” and my password is “root”, but if i enter those on the website, it says root does not exist. I am very confused and have no idea how to fix this.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

  1. Create a site
  2. enter a username, password, and wordpress email
  3. attempt to log in to admin dashboard using those credentials
  4. fail

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi very sorry I lied turns out I entered the wrong information you can feel free to lock this I am so sorry for wasting everyone’s time. Pilot error.
