Can't access sites

Issue Summary

I cannot access any of my sites on Local (in both Safari and Chrome) I get an Err_connection_refused message. I updated just before trying to open sites.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular? all sites

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser? Yes I can do this!

  • Which version of Local is being used? 5.10.4

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • macOS High Sierra

Do you remember which version of Local you updated from?

An connection refused error sometimes means that the site configuration was corrupted during the upgrade process.

Can you try restoring the original sites to a new ones in Local? You can use a backup of the site, or try using the files for the site by following the steps outlined in the “Restoring From Only Local Site files” section of this help doc:
