I’m getting a 502 error on one site, and I’m unable to create any sites.
What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc
I just migrated from an Intel to an M1. I’m attaching what I’m seeing. I’ve already reinstalled the program and still seeing the same thing. I’m on the Arm version of local.
Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
Are you on a personal device or is this issued by an employer? I’ve seen some users run into this issue recently that was resolved by creating a new user on their device and installing and running Local under that account. Maybe there is a permissions issue or something corrupting the download, I’m not certain.
When you reinstalled did you fully uninstall with the MacOS steps here?
Thanks Nick! I removed the files in Application support and then reinstalled and that did it. Do you know if theres a way to add in the previous websites? I still have them in ~/Local Sites/{site}
For future reference, I think it was triggered by the fact that the account I transferred from one computer to another was previously a “Standard User” and on this new device its an “Admin”. I think that corrupted Local somehow.
Glad to hear you got things working again @carlosrios! Thank you for following up.
Your sites you can certainly reimport. What you’ll want to do is zip the contents for each site up together and then drag and drop them one a time into Local again for the native import to get things going. If for some reason there is trouble with a zip file, you can do a manual import as well. We’ve got steps for all this here:
