Check For Updates not doing anything [Issue re-opened]

Since the last thread was closed but this still persists in the latest version…

The menu item Local > Check For Updates doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t show any update available or state that no update is available. This started happening with the current version (V 6.7.0+6347)

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    V 6.7.0+6347
  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    macOS 13.2.1 – with MacBook Air M1
  • Attach the Local Log. See this Community Forum post for instructions on how to do so:

no log entries created by this action.

I’m seeing this in v6.6.1

Though I usually update using Homebrew :wink:

@scottbuscemi Our dev team had a look at this and it should be resolved now. Are you able to check again?

Nice, this works now! I’m on the latest version now so not sure if it works for outdated versions.

@Nick-B Seems like the update mechanism still has some troubles :confused:

@scottbuscemi Hey Scott! This is intentional with v6.7.1 - there was a regression with the Site Shell functionality, so we’ve removed it from the automatic update functionality from within the app.

New build (Local v6.7.2) with the regression fixed plus some other enhanements should be in Beta by tomorrow!
