Check for Updates not working

Issue Summary

“Check for updates” feature not responsive. When selecting Local > Check for Updates, nothing happens. Also, I noticed when trying to update to the latest version via the “Instant Reload” extension, I receive the following message.

Uh-oh. Local could not fetch the most recent info.
