Hello,
I have zero storage left on my MacBook, and after some digging, I noticed that Docker (only used because of Local by Flywheel) is using 116 GB of storage! This is almost half of my Macs’ entire storage… I now cannot create new sites, install updates or anything of the sort.
I have removed other Applications, caches, old files etc. but ultimately I must reduce Dockers’ ridiculous consumption.
Please can somebody help reduce this and explain the issue!?
Thanks in advance

Hello @elliottmangham!
Sorry to hear about your issue. A couple of possible common causes of arriving at a large storage point are
- A Large database
- A Large number of sites
The limit of the virtual machine’s disk size is 120GB. Due to the way VirtualBox disks work, they will not shrink after a certain size.
Something you can try if you’re able to export site’s in Local is to export all of your sites and then remove Local’s VM in VirtualBox, re-open Local, and then re-import your sites.
