Have Host-Only adapter but Local by F fails

I have VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter #3 (Windows 10 Pro)
IPv4 Address: 169.254.94.72
IPv4 Network Mask: 255.255.0.0
IPv6 address: fe80::3c1a:b31f:7889:5e48
IPv6 Prefix Length: 64
Is that the way it should be for Local? If not - what?
This is what happens:
(local-by-flywheel) 0%…
[main/docker-machine] (local-by-flywheel) Progress state: E_FAIL
[main/docker-machine] (local-by-flywheel) VBoxManage.exe: error: Failed to create the host-only adapter

What is wrong or left out or too much put in? Please help - flustrated!

Hi Albert,

Please try manually upgrading to VirtualBox 5.2.2. Here’s the direct download link: http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.2.2/VirtualBox-5.2.2-119230-Win.exe

Once you do that, I’d recommend restarting your computer prior to re-opening Local.

Sorry for the trouble!

So I deleted Local & VisualBox,
Loaded Local, deleted VisualBox, loaded new VisualBox,
Ran Local, got partly thru step#2, got error. (no local-host every time + other stuff)
Attached .log file.
BTW VirtualBox System tab Linux – so I changed it to Windows – shudda left it?

Ok I am a Windows 10 bumbler – but anyway
when I run VboxManage.exe list dhcpservers, I get
NetworkName: HostinterfaceNetworking-VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter
IP: 192.168.56.100
NetworkMask: 255.255.255.0
lowerIPAddress: 192.168.56.101
upperIPAddress: 192.168.56.254
Enabled: Yes

Curiously (for me) other references say the host-only adapter IP should be 192.168.56.1
If this is important, I have no idea how to change either one.
So either help? or it is nothing at all – stupid!

Hi Albert,

The settings in VirtualBox shouldn’t be changed outside of the CPU/RAM settings.

Please revert those changes, restart your computer and attempt the installation again.

OK deleted VirtualBox – reinstalled VirtualBox-5.2.2-119230-Win.exe – no change – no Host-only adapter.
My searches say that in Network under Attached to: Host-only Adapter,
I should see Name: vboxnet0 – never seen that – or is that for another situation? Still flustrated.
