Issue Summary

Zipped up a theme from cPanel and downloaded. On trying to import, getting the attached error.

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

i tried to extract manually and got same error

Are you just trying to import the theme file in Local? Or a whole site?

If you don’t have a site created yet, you’ll need to spin one up first and then you can go into the WordPress admin dashboard and upload your theme there.
