Importing a site - invalid zip

Issue Summary

Importing a site into LocalWP throws an error “try again with compatible zip”

Troubleshooting Questions

• Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
  Can only try this one.

• Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Replication

I have a full backup of a wp site (all files + db). Whichever way I tried, I cannot import it into localWP. The help page does not cover how to manually create a zip (I am unable to export it via the proposed methods and wp plugins)

System Details

• Which version of Local is being used?
  6.7.0+6347

• What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
  Linux

Is there any special way to format a zip file for it to be accepted for import by localWP ?

Hi @robert_f

There could be a few issues at play here. To start, have you tried pulling out just wp-content and sql and bundling those together to import?

Other things that could be causing issues are things like extra site backups, DB backups, backup plugins, etc.

Thanks very much for your help and sorry for the late reply, I was away without access to the laptop.

I just tried by using only wp-content and renaming the sql file to backup.sql and it works, thanks very much !
