Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
That’s definitely an odd error. From the sounds of things, it’s almost like that domain is already taken.
Are you experiencing this on all sites, or just one in particular?
Since Live Links are associated with your Local Hub account, do you know if you have more than one Local Hub user? If you do, you might try logging in as another user and re-enabling the Live Link.
Lastly, if this is occuring only on one site, you might try exporting the site by right clicking on it and selecting “Export” and then re-import it by dragging and dropping the zip onto Local.
This should generate a new subdomain that the Live Links infrastructure will use.
If you’re still having issues can provide an updated version of the Local Logs? You can get a zip of those logs by clicking the “Download Local Log” button from the “Support” tab of Local. See this help doc for more information:
Hey I had this exact same issue. I found a workaround where I cloned the local website I wanted to use live link on, and then I enabled live link on the cloned website and it worked. Hopefully that works for you too.
