Local 5.2.8+2771 502 Bad Gateway

I have installed Local 5.2.8+2771 and it worked great to start with. Now I can’t get it to open any site. I keep getting 502 Bad Gateway errors. When I select a site and start it, Local cannot seem to get the WordPress version number. Clicking on Admin or View Site results on the Bad Gateway error.

I have tried rebooting my windows 10 laptop and no change. I’ve tried re-installing Local and no change. I’ve tried uninstalling, rebooting, re-installing and no change.

I am sorry, but I have had nothing but trouble with Local since earlier releases of Local by Flywheel. I truly thought this Lightning version would be the solution, but it still has the same type of problems, it works at first then fails over time (even sooner now).

My last attempt gave this in the Local-lightning.log:

Nothing shows up in the router log.

Anything to suggest?

Hi there,
What PHP version are you using?

It seems not running well with PHP 7.4.1, but looks ok with PHP 7.3.5

I asked the same yesterday here , at least in Linux .

Regards

Hi,
My install only gives me PHP 7.3.5 as an option and it produces 502 BAD GATEWAY for me.

Regards

Today, as I was trying again, the router log captured this:

2020/04/11 17:42:45 [error] 23308#25684: *6 connect() failed (10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it) while connecting to upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: newdoxa.local, request: “GET / HTTP/2.0”, upstream: “http://127.0.0.1:10006/”, host: “newdoxa.local”
2020/04/11 17:42:47 [error] 23308#25684: *6 connect() failed (10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it) while connecting to upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: newdoxa.local, request: “GET /favicon.ico HTTP/2.0”, upstream: “http://127.0.0.1:10006/favicon.ico”, host: “newdoxa.local”, referrer: “https://newdoxa.local/

This occurred while attempting to access the website with Google Chrome, which gave a 502 Error Request: The page you requested generated a server error and could not be processed. I am getting the same 502 Error Request with the latest FireFox browser as well.

I have the latest Windows 10 build installed, WordPress 5.4, PHP 7.3.5, MSQL 8.0.16, NGINX 1.16.0. When I select a site, all the configuration parameters populate with the correct information, except WP Version, which has the two busy dots constantly alternating off and on. Local never seems to find the Wordpress version number.

Regards
