Just one small question before I go ahead with the ridiculously unreasonable urge to update to the latest and greatest: are files backed up to Google or Dropbox using Cloud Backups encrypted? (They really should be)

Yes. Under the hood, the add-on is using Restic. Here’s a help doc with general information:

;tldr – a password for the restic repo is generated in the Local Account. You don’t need to know about it unless you are wanting to manually restore, in which case, you can access the password from your Local account.
