We have been in the process of changing over our sites from a VPS to WP Engine and have setup a solid workflow for our dev team, up to the point of pulling down sites into Local. Right now, we use GitHub to manage the code for our custom themes and plugins and then deploy them with Actions to WP Engine. The dev team will then pull down the sites using Local Connect to have the latest files/database changes.
We noticed that Local Connect did not pull down the .git folder for our theme and that is was part of the excluded files list in the documentation. Is there anyway that we can change that, or has anyone found a way to handle this situation?
I’ve only found information about adding files to exclude - not removing files. I’d appreciate any help here!
