Local Sites is slowing my WiFi connection

When I have Local sites running, in Live Link, it’s slowing my WiFi connection down considerable. It’s normally very fast then after a short time, it slows considerably, from very fast to very slow on the speed test.
If I ‘Open site’ locally, it loads fairly quickly, problems only with Live Link.
I have tried clearing cookies, different browsers, the only thing that fixes it is closing Local sites, although sometimes I have had to restart the Macbook.
I am using MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) 2.7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
MacOS Monterey (Latest version)
It’s also happened on iPhone when I’ve checked the live link in the browser.
Any ideas on how to use Live Link without affecting the WiFi connection would be much appreciated, thanks.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hey @Metatron

A couple thoughts here.

If you create a new, blank site, enable Live Links and then view it do you get the same slowness? That could help determine if it’s a site specific issue or some other conflict with the application.

Is there anything unique about your network? Do you use a VPN, hotspot, office/work connection, etc?

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply, I’ve not found the problem exactly, but have solved it. My Wifi router has 2 channels, 2.4 and 5Ghz. I noticed it was only slowing on 2.4GHz, so was able to turn that channel off and the WiFi remains fast even with Local sites up. Not sure why it was slowing down so much, but sorted now. Appreciate your help.
