Local UI: Accessibility problem with running indicator only by color

What issue or error are you experiencing?

The distinction between started (site is running) and stopped is relevant for all users and important usage (and resource consuming) parts of Local.
But visually the only distinction is the color of the dot left beside the site name in the list. And the actual distinction between “grey” (stopped) and “green” (started) is not not easily distinguishable at one glance.

Bad for usage of all users and terrible for visually impaired.
And it’s also a direct WCAG violation of 1.4.1 Use of Color: “Color is not used as the only visual means of conveying information, indicating an action, prompting a response, or distinguishing a visual element.”

Suggestions:
1.) Changing color AND shape of the indication icon (maybe a grey little line/rectangle for “stopped” and a green big dot/circle for “started”) would help all people.
2.) To be completely screen reader (and WCAG) compliant, additional information - hidden (only for screen readers) or readable for all - is necessary. Maybe “started” / “stopped” in a separate column.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc.

Open Local
Start some sites
See (or not) the distinction between started and stopped sites.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention @burnuser! I’ve passed this along to our Dev team for review.
