Maxbuffer length exceeded issue when importing

Issue Summary

When pulling a site from WP Engine or manually importing, I get the following message: “stderr maxbuffer length exceeded” and as a result I can not use the site.

The site in question has 5GB file size in total and its database is around 500MB.

How do I resolve this issue? Any suggestion?

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    – Local 5.9.7+5156

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    – MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1

Hey @mtncr – that is definitely odd. Do you have the full error message as well as the Local log?

I’m curious about where this message is coming from. My guess is that it’s probably from the MySQL processes, but I’d love to know for sure.
