Migrated site, Media Library not working

Hello, I migrated a site over to a live server. Everything (Well, almost everything) is working now, except none of my media files are working. I have all the old media on the new server in the same locations as before.

However in my media library they all show up as blank thumbnails: https://gyazo.com/d05364585d106d07f09f99b892c897f1

The URL for the media files (in that screenshot) all work correctly. For example the one highlighted there is here: http://e0f.d79.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/writer-03.jpg

But when I go into the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and regenerate, all I get is a bunch of errors that say “Skipped Attachment ID X (xxxx): The fullsize image file cannot be found in your uploads directory at [] . Without it, new thumbnail images can’t be generated.”

Here’s the screenshot: https://gyazo.com/bddc1114b37922e54c6330295a122021

It looks like there’s a weird discrepancy on file paths or something.

Any idea what’s going on here?

Thank you,
Chris

Hi Chris,

How did you migrate the site to your live server? Did you do it manually or use a plugin such as Duplicator or All-in-One WP Migration?

All manually. Actually Local stopped working so I grabbed all the files and DB from the program folders. Everything works fine except for this.

My guess is that something like a domain or path wasn’t replaced properly when you imported the site into Local.

I would try pulling the live site with Duplicator. Once you have the Duplicator package, simply drag-and-drop it into Local to import it.

If the issue persists we can go from there.
