Moving Site from Local to Cloudways

I have finished building a Wordpress site using Local, on my Mac. I want to move it to Cloudways, where my site is hosted, but I don’t know how to do this. Cloudways support has no advice for me other than to move the files, but that’s what I don’t know how to do.

What do I need to do to make this happen? What files do I need to find and transfer? Where do I find them? I’m at a loss here. I thought this would be a common question, and I’ve searched the support forum but see nothing on this topic.

Hey @Greg! I’m sorry their support wasn’t very helpful. It looks like they have a migration plugin that you can use to move a site to their platform but I’m not sure if this will work going from a Local install to them but you could start with this:

Additionally, it looks like from their documentation here you can request that they help you with one free migration, and “For downloadable backups, simply open a support ticket.”

So you could also try creating a zip backup of your Local site, and then creating a Cloudways support ticket for help that way as well:
