Moving site from XAMPP to Local not working

I am attempting to move a site from XAMPP to Local but running into issues even after following this post:

Hey folks. I built a Wordpress site for a client in xampp. Then xampp started running reaaaaally slowly when I would try to edit posts. Local by Flywheel looks great, and I’d like to migrate the site but I’m running into some issues. Is there a simple way to migrate the site I’ve built, theme, settings, content, and all to Local? Sorry if this is a noob question, but I’m a noob.

I get the following error message:

Error importing site!
Sorry! We couldn’t figure out what to do with the import file provided. Please extract it manually.

SO when I extract it to pull it over I get the same message

I haven’t seen anyone else get a successful response to similar issues. Thinking of requesting a refund since it appears to be a mute issue.

Hi there! Since you are getting that error message I am thinking there might be something incorrect with what is contained in the file. In this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G47ttM-AW0 there is a tutorial on what all needs to be included in the file to import the site. You can jump ahead to 35s to find some information on what needs to be there. Let us know if you still have the same issue!
