My php files are not showing up?

What issue or error are you experiencing? Hello, I downloaded Local and created a custom environment for a very simple basic reason. Im learning PHP, I have a course. I decided to try Local because MAMP is not working. I should be able to see my PHP files by placing them in the public folder and accessing them with the correct path. However, this is not working and Im not sure why. I would greatly appreciate any and all help. I am using Sequoia 15.0, I’m not sure if this has something to do with the issue.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hey @Bigmac_7!

Could you share some more details with us here regarding your workflow? What are you expecting to see with these PHP files and where exactly are you putting them? It would be great if you could share some screenshots or feel free to record a short video with Loom or something similar!

Sure. Thank you for trying to help. As I said, I’m learning PHP. I’m writing PHP code in Visual Studio and then transferring that file to my public file in the work environment locally on the local site. I thought this should allow me to view my PHP file, but it’s not working. Obviously this is not normally how Local is used Im just trying to do a work around because MAMP is not working and I am not sure why. Thank you.

To @Nick-B, I figured it out. I went back to MAMP, and it started working on the Ngnix server. Apparently, Mac Sequoia was having an issue with Apache. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be using Local in the near future to build some sites.
