Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @KrisNelson

Have you tried quitting Local and doing a full reboot yet?

Also, if you change your Router Mode are you able to proceed?

Preferences>Advanced>Router Mode

Yes, I tried quitting Local and doing a full reboot.

I uninstalled Local and reinstalled it.

And the error.

Error: Command failed: /Users/krisnelson/Library/Application Support/Local/lightning-services/mysql-8.0.16+6/bin/darwin/bin/mysqladmin ping
mysqladmin: connect to server at ‘localhost’ failed

Local worked perfectly when I shut down the computer. I have not updated the OS as this computer is stuck at 10.15.7.
Just went and bought a new Mac running the M2 chip. Will try on that computer now.

Hi @KrisNelson

Another thing you could try is going to an older version of Local. We’ve been seeing some issues recently with 10.15 and will likely be bumping Local’s minimum version soon.

More information on how to downgrade here:

For your Mac M2, you’ll want to make sure you have Rosetta installed if you’re using the Apple Silicon version of Local.
