Problem after uninstalling aWP theme and installing another

What issue or error are you experiencing? I had already had WP’s twenty Twenty five free theme downloaded and installed by Local. I uninstalled that theme and then downloaded the Atra theme. It was loaded by Local and I opened it up to start work, but at the bottom left it displayes Twenty Twenty Five and not Astra.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

I took the same steps that correctly installed Twenty Twenty Five before.

I am a newbie. I don’t know how to find to attach my logs.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi, @deelhunt, and welcome to the Local community!

How did you install the theme?

If you’re installing it from a zip file, normally you would need to:

  1. Open your WordPress admin area and log in.
  2. Visit Appearance → Themes.
  3. Click “Add Theme”.
  4. Click “Upload Theme”.
  5. Choose your theme file and click “Install Now”.
  6. Click “Activate”.

You can see a video of this process here: Choosing and installing a theme | Learn WordPress

On the Appearance → Themes page, your new theme should show as “Active”. If not, find the theme on that page, click its image, and choose “Activate”.

If you have issues with any of these steps, feel free to share more information or screenshots.

Thanks, Nick. I am plodding along. This has been harder than the site I put up about a5 years ago.
