Rsync issue with WPEngine

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Local will not pull from WPEngine. It says “Uh-oh! WE ran into an issue when pulling from WPEngine.” The logs indicate an issue with rsync:

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Not sure. It works on my other computers.

System Details

  • Local Version: Version 9.0.5+6706

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: Mac - Apple Silicon - MacOS 14

Are you able to download a backup and direct import it?

If that works you’ll at least be able to get to work but we’re still happy to help dig into this further if you want to provide some more details:

  • What is your OS?

  • What version of Local are you on?

  • Please attach a copy of your Local Logs

I am also getting this error. I am on macOS 15 (Sequoia).
Latest version of the app - 9.0.5 for apple silicon. I attached copy of logs.

I think could very well be the Sequoia beta, as this was working a couple days ago.

If you’re specifically using the MacOS 15 Beta we’ve seeing issues come up with that breaking Local Connect. We haven’t gotten to testing this yet since the public release isn’t coming out until later this year. For now if you can you could roll back your OS update, otherwise if you want to stay on this as a workaround you can direct import a backup into Local, and then use the WPE migration plugin for Local Connect pushes.
