Search can't find files on my hard drive

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Unable to find existing files on hard drive.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Search in finder sees files just fine, whether I search ‘This Mac’ or my external drive. When trying to search to select files to upload to my Media Library the modal search window simply does not find these files.

Are you able to import the files manually as a workaround?

Have you tested any other folders to see if they show up?
