Uh-oh! Unable to provision site Error When Trying to Add a Local Site

Hello everyone.
I installed LocalWP on my laptop but have never been able to add a local site to the platform.
I always get an error similar to this, https://i.imgur.com/82aVwmC.png, which I do not understand what it means. I would appreciate it if someone could please assist and guide me on what to do.

Special characters not supported on Windows username/password

Moderator Note: Known Bug Summary Thank you everyone who has chimed in and helps clarify this issue! The general problem is that when a Windows Username includes special characters (so an apostrophe ' or a non-ASCII character like é) it can break the commands Local uses to communicate with the MySQL database. Usernames that have an apostrophe in them should be fixed, so update to the most recent version of Local if the username has an apostrophe in it. Read on for what you can do if the userna…

There are some suggestions in there with potential fixes - for example, if you are using Windows & your Windows username has special characters it appears to cause issues with Local.

Hey @konstantinos

If you’re getting the same error and are on Windows then it’s likely the same special characters issue mentioned in the comment above and you’ll need to create a new user without any of those characters.
