Unable to launch - VirtualBox privacy error on mac

Hi, I am trying to launch Local but I keep getting stuck on this error message:

“Local was unable to reload VirtualBox’s Kernel Extensions. Please check System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and click Allow if present.”

I have allowed all security privacy settings for both VirtualBox and Local with no result.

I am running Local on a Mac with the latest Ventura 13.6.4.

Could you please help?

It sounds like you’re using a very old version of Local. The latest is 8.2.1.

If your version is 3.x, you’ll probably want to migrate to the latest. This should help with that:

I’m not sure if there are any more recent docs that might better suit.
