Unable To Start Site Since Last Update

Hello, I have to change my machine very soon but for now I am still working on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 and since I did the last update, my wordpress sites do not start anymore, I tried to restore the old version of Local but it does not solve the problem … here is my error message, could you help me? Thank you. I have tried changing the php versions. I have also tried reinstalling local and I have desactived my antivirus…

Hi, @mikael, thanks for sharing these screenshots!

Newer versions of Local require macOS 12 or higher. (They also present a notice on startup that tries to explain this if you attempt to use Local with an earlier version.)

You could either upgrade your version of macOS when you’re able to, or downgrade to a version of Local older than 9.1.

I have the same on Windows

Same issue on windows, but not on every local sites.
I’ve already tryed to restore the previous version of Localwp, no difference.
Every sites now have changed MySQL version to 8.0.35 as described in the changelog.

Is it possible only in one site to change MySQL version to see if this is the main problem?

Thanks

Thank you. I downgraded to version Local v8.0.0 and the problem is not fixed. I still can’t start any sites. See the screenshot of the attached error message >

Thanks for trying that, @mikael.

Please could you try this?

  1. Quit Local.
  2. Open the Finder.
  3. Hold down the alt/option key on your keyboard and click “Go” from the menu bar while the Finder is active.
  4. Choose “Library”. (Only visible when alt/option is held down.)
  5. Navigate to Application Support → Local.
  6. Right-click the file named sites.json and choose “Duplicate” to create a backup.
  7. Edit the original file named sites.json (not sites copy.json) in an IDE or text editor such as VS Code.
  8. Using the find and replace feature of your editor, find all occurrences of “8.0.35” and replace them with “8.0.16”. No other edits to the file are needed.
  9. Open Local and try to start your sites.

If you see further errors please feel free to share screenshots or logs.

@fwitkowski @daniele9811 From other threads it looks like your error on Windows is different to this one. The above advice to edit sites.json only applies to this specific error on macOS.
