Version 1.4.2 Running Slowly on Mac

I’ve noticed that since the recent update to Version 1.4.2, my Local sites are running significantly more slowly than before. I’m using the same WordPress/PHP versions as live sites but have definitely noticed a slow down on Local.

Is this a known issue?

Hi Stuart,

Updating to 1.4.2 shouldn’t have caused a slow down specifically. One thing you can try is going to Help » Restart Local’s Machine.

Speed is a large focus area in the next major update and we already have very promising numbers for site performance.

Thanks Clay,

I have tried a restart of the Local Machine and that didn’t make any noticeable difference. Rebooting the Mac and resetting the PRAM did though…

Looking forward to the speed improvements in the next version.
