Issue Summary

Unable to log into admin

Error message when attempting to login in to wp-admin is " Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress."

I have made sure that cookies ARE enabled and I’ve tried multiple browsers.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    All sites

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    Yes

Replication

I did a fresh install of WP, then imported my site from GitHub over the default installation. Everything works great except the Admin, which I can’t access.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used? 6.6.1+6281

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • macOS Ventura 13.2
  • Attach the Local Log.
    local-logs.zip (1.1 MB)

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @lance.olenik

How to fix "Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser" in WordPress | Parrot Creative.

Thanks for looking at this Nick-B.

Unfortunately, none of those solutions worked. I cleared cookies, deleted all the plug-ins (just to eliminate any possible issues), and added the setCookie code in functions.php.

No matter what, the login form just reloaded and showed the cookie message.
