Help with Migration Remote to LocalWP

Issue Summary

Dear All, I started new with LocalWP and had issues yesterday with trying to migrate my already remote WP Webpage to LocalWP. I installed WP Migrate Lite but could not export a ZIP File, because you need to enter the URL where it will be exported. How do I know my URL from LocalWP?

I am sorry if this Question is very trivial. I am very new to anything computer and wordpress related.

Thank you alot for your help, it is very appreciated. I got some grey hair from trying it myself!

  • Which version of Local is being used? the newest one

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    Windows 11

I just tested this myself and didn’t run into any issues. Can you verify you’re using the workflow here?

Hi! Thank you for your answer. I did not even get that far, I am struggling in finding out, what URL is requested. Or is there a way to download the ZIP File without putting in the URLs?

And yes, I did read and watch the video, but it seems the URL is already mentioned automatically in the video and in my case it is empty.

Hi there @MarcoKarrer -

That “Custom Find & Replace” can be skipped / is not required, have you tried that?

Local does the search & replace on URL/Path for you; sou can export the site as is.
