After restoring a site using a wpvivid backup, the site doesn’t come up. I see Service Unavailable.
I read through Troubleshoot: Performance Issues and increased PHP memory_limit from 256M to 512M, but it didn’t help.
What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc
Restore a site backup by creating a new site or creating it from a Blueprint in Local. Both receive the same issue.
Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
Yes, I can access a blank site in Local; that works great. Trying to import this site manually seems prone to error. WPVivid backup creates multiple zip files per site. This backup contains 14 zip files, each containing multiple zip files. Managing all of them would be very time-consuming.
I’m not familiar with WPvivid myself, but if you still have access to the source site you can use the plugin WP Migrate Lite which is free and will create a simple full site export into a zip file. That might be easier to import with the native Local feature, or if you still need to import manually it won’t have nearly as many components.
Okay well within your WPVivid backup have you looked inside of any of the zip files to see their contents? What you need to get your site imported and running is a WP-Content directory and a MySQL database. If you’re able to find those two things within the backup then you can try zipping them up together alone for native import or manually importing them into a blank site. If the backup file has everything parsed out into separate files, DB tables, etc then I don’t know that there is an easier way other than manually importing everything individually.
If you have any other questions or concerns don’t hesitate to reach back out. If you figure out a solution feel free to update this thread for other WPVivid users to find
